C. H. Jonathan Choi obtained his B.S. (with honors) and M.S. degrees in chemical engineering from Stanford University in 2005 and 2006, respectively. For his Ph.D. in chemical engineering, he studied the pharmacological behavior of nanoparticles at Caltech under the supervision of Mark E. Davis from 2006 to 2011. As a Croucher Foundation postdoctoral fellow, he worked on the cellular interactions of DNA nanoparticles with Chad A. Mirkin at Northwestern University from 2011 to 2013. He is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and assistant professor (by courtesy) in the School of Life Sciences at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 2014, he served as a Globex Faculty Fellow at Peking University. He is a recipient of a 2016 Croucher Innovation Award in the amount of HKD 5 million, bestowed to top young investigators from all branches of engineering, medicine and science in Hong Kong. His research interests include bionanomaterials, drug delivery, “bio-nano” interactions, and imaging.
